Always learning new things
Updated: Sep 9, 2019
It’s enriching to dedicate your time to something, whether it’s your work or your passion, or in my case both, and learn new things every day. I have over 20 years of experience drawing, sketching, and using different mediums. I started taking drawing seriously when I was 16. That was when I realized, this is what I want to do. Don’t know how, but this is what I want to do with my life. I started to sell my work, buy professional materials, and take classes and courses that would help me develop my technique and style. Which to this day is still in development!
I love it because I always learn something new. It’s refreshing to see the change in style and confidence. How strokes loosen and lines broaden. It’s been more than educational.
I’m well aware that during art school I learned the bulk of my abilities, but to be honest a lot of my techniques have been acquired by trial and error, experimentation, some research, and pure luck.
Staying inspired and motivated to take and complete course after course is a lot of work. Kudos to those who manage! I certainly cannot, as much I would like. I have many excuses.
